A fun quick project inspired by an abundance of spare parts. The MAX9744 amplifier found itself in my possession alongside a few spare speakers, so I thought it'd be interesting to create a stereo speaker powered Talkbox.
The build is relatively simple; the enclosure is made of 1/4 inch MDF. My initial design failed horrendously because of my lack of attention to acoustics. As you can see in the seventh picture, the top was flat. I had incorrectly assumed that by angling both speakers towards the same hole that the sound would have no other option but to be directed towards the tube. What ended up happening there was that the entire box became a muted speaker enclosure and more of the sound was reverberating through the wood than up and out of the tube.
I quickly revised my design by instead using a three-way hose adapter fitting that lined up more directly with each speaker cone. This resulted in an angled top for the talkbox that can be seen in the eighth picture. That worked a lot better, so I painted it blue and added a hook for good measure.

The ARMIDUINO is an open source Arduino Mega based MIDI controller project that I created. I was looking for a MIDI controller solution that could send program change messages as well control change messages to specify program change banks. The ARDSEQUINO is an open source Arduino Nano based sample player and sequencer that I created. My goal was to make a hardware sample player that I could control over MIDI; I have a couple MIDI controller designs that I plan on building down the line so I needed something that could be MIDI controlled.
